Maury Island Shoreline Restoration

Come help restore Maury Island's shoreline! We will weed around native plantings to prevent them from choking.

What to Bring Dress for the weather (rain gear in case of bad weather or sunglasses and a hat if it's sunny). Also recommended are sturdy foot gear (boots, sneakers, etc. but no sandals), long trousers and long sleeves, gloves and weeding tools if you have them.Bring work gloves and weeding tools if you have them. Bring a water bottle and lunch. Children 10 and under must have one-to-one adult supervision.

Habitat restoration sites provide shelter and food for wildlife like salmon. ospreys, great blue herons, and bald eagles.  At our events we remove invasive weeds, spread mulch, plant native vegetation, and pick up trash.

No experience necessary. Children 10 and under must have one-to-one adult supervision.

We will provide work gloves, tools, snacks, and beverages.

Reservation in advance required.
