The Nature Conservancy will host visitors at its Port Susan Bay Preserve near Stanwood on the third Saturday of each month through September 2008. This preserve safeguards some of the finest estuarine habitat in the Puget Sound, and is a great place to watch birds.
Visitors will meet Conservancy staff and preserve stewards and will be able to observe the estuary, wetlands, and mudflats that are so vital for birds, salmon, and more. Anyone interested in visiting is welcome.
Two tours take place during the day, one at 9 a.m. and one at 1 p.m. Participants must sign up in advance.
